Dr Allen W. Baker

Dr. Baker earned his doctorate in Optometry at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. He is licensed by the Oregon Board of Optometry and has been in practice since 1987, practicing in Sherwood since 1996. He is certified in the treatment and management of ocular diseases.

He practices optometry with interests in specialty contact lenses, computer vision syndrome, and laser vision correction co-management. He listens to his patient’s concerns, addresses their vision needs, visual acuity and eye health.

He explains his findings in simple terms and makes recommendations to help his patients enjoy the clearest, healthiest, most comfortable vision possible. He knows that every patient leaving his office will go home with the knowledge that they have had a very thorough eye exam.

Dr. Baker and his wife, Kim, have 3 adult children who all live in the Portland Metro area. His interests include golf, basketball, skiing, softball, family activities like hiking and going to the beach. Carrot cake is his favorite dessert!
